Mechanical Engineer

GENERAL DESCRIPTION

- Knowledge of mechanical systems design, P&IDs, and power plant equipment.

-A minimum of 1 year in power plant design; knowledge of ASME B31.1, NFPA and other codes.

-Responsibilities include working in a team environment and developing or directing others in the development of P&IDs, equipment specifications, material requisitions, data sheets, equipment arrangements.

-3D equipment models, pipe routing and other engineering for power generation facilities with knowledge of mechanical design programs.

-Responsible for technical writing; sizing/selecting equipment and piping specialties for systems.

-Responsible for reviewing vendor submittals; supporting and coordinating with other engineering disciplines as needed.

- Registered mechanical engineer in Guatemala.


WORK EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS
Mandatory: One year of Power Plant design.
Optional: Site experience in mechanical systems.

EDUCATION REQUIREMENTS
Mandatory: Mechanical Engineering degree and registered engineer.
Optional: Specialization in some field of Mechanical Engineering
